Its been a long time, probably the first time this year I have made any layouts. I was motivated by an online crop. I am also going to GA with my sister in a week in a half for a weekend long scrapbook retreat. I have been getting everything ready and think it will be a nice relaxing weekend (minus the long drive).

My pictures are pretty crappy b/c I used my cell phone to take photos of them all. Someday I might retake the photos and update them but for now, this is what you get.

I went to Dahlgreen, VA for a training class for two week. My Aunt flew up over the weekend to hang out in DC with me. Here are some random photos that we took. It was really chilly and I need a better tripod but it was still good practice

The last few months have gotten the best of me. Been busier w/work, traveling, Izzy playing soccer, etc and this has been negleted. I will try once again to be better about updating but no promises. I have LOTs of pictures to update but have not done much scrapbooking or other craft stuff in a while. With Christmas coming up, that will pick up since I want to make some gifts for people.

In the mean time, here are some pictures of Izzy from over the weekend when she Trick or Treated at Sea World. She did not want to wear her costume so she just left her soccer stuff on.

Here is what I have done since the last batch I shared:

I started this album in november at a retreat I went to. All I was able to do then was put the paper on the first two letters, taking advantage of Izzy actually sleeping on Sunday, I was finally able to finish it! Just need to print some pictures for it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABELLA!

Yesterday was Isabella's birthday, she is growing up so quickly. I dont have many pictures on my work computer but I do have one of her cake that is quite cute. She wanted a scooby doo, little einsteins cake. So I ordered the scooby doo cake from publix and added the little einstein characters for her. She was thrilled.

Maryland and New York

At the end of May, Izzy and I took a trip to Maryland and New York. My friend Bethany was getting married and Izzy was asked to be the flower girl. Since we were already going to be up that way, it made sense to add a fews day to visit family in NY also. Our original plan was to drive (although it would be a long drive just me and an almost 3 yr old) but then I got a great price on some tickets on Southwest so we flew to MD, then from MD to NY, then from NY home. It was great to visit friends and family on the trip. We spend the first few night in Fredrick, MD for the wedding, then drove down to Southern MD and spent some time visiting friends, then a night at my Aunt and Uncles house in Belair, MD before heading on to Long Island to stay w/Christian's Sister.

Christian went to NY to visit his Sister all week so that meant more time for me to scrapbook :). I have done a few layouts here and there but had to reformat the hard drive so I have all the pictures on a back up hard drive so someday I will up date them here. But for now, here is what I have to share:

And on another note, we leave this weekend to go to MD so Izzy can be in a friends wedding and hope to visit friends while there too, then go onto NY to visit Christians sister and make a visit to NYC for the day. I am exciting, it will be tons of fun (although probably exhausting). I am bring the camera so be on the look out for an overflow of photos when we get back.

Went to Seattle, WA at the end of April for a work meeting. It has actually been about 7 months since my last work trip. That might have been a record. The weather was beautiful the whole time I was there, too bad I had to work ;).

Izzy had tons of fun when she decorated the Gingerbread House at Christmas that I decided to get a bunny house for her to decorate for Easter. Figure it could be a centerpeice at the table.

She has wanted to ride the roller coaster at Sea World since we first went there a year ago. You have to be 38" tall to ride it so she was never tall enough. Finally today she was tall enough (maybe she is a hair short but they still let her).

I even bought the picture they sell you :). She loved it.

My funny conversation with Izzy this morning

So we are on the way to my Mom's this morning. Izzy starts talking about going to Sea World (which she does every day). Starts talking about the different animals there. Then this conversation happens:

I: Shamu has a tail.
Me: Yes, Shamu has a tail.
I: Tigers have tails.
Me: Yes, Tigers have tails.
I: I don't have a tail, I have a butt
Me: laughing, yes, you have a butt.

Then she proceeds to list everyone that has butts (Daddy has a butt, Mema has a butt, Bepa has a butt, aunt tina has a butt, etc).

Last week when I was getting dressed one morning. I had on my bra and pants. Izzy walks in and goes "Mommy you have big boobs and I have small ones". I just started laughing and agreed with her.

I am going to try to write down (via this blog) some of the funny stuff she says and does so I can remember these.

Over the weekend I went to GA to goto a scrapbooking retreat. It was lots of fun and I was able to get more done then I would have ever been able to at home. I spent most of my time making pages for my sister to give to a friend of hers getting married this weekend. It's hard to scrapbook without picture though. Here is what I did:

St Louis

We went to St Louis from the 19th-24th for My grandparents surprise birthday party. My grandma was turning 80 and my grandfather 84. It was tons of fun! Here are a few pictures.

Totally slacking on this but oh well.... Not a whole lot to update. I have some new pictures to share of different things we have done over the last month or so but my hard drive on my computer is full so its so freaking slow to do anything and I just get annoyed so don't bother. I have an external hard drive that everything is backed up on but I want everything in two places so I need to get another external harddrive so I can have a backup.

But here are some pictures that I do have to share. My SIL and niece are here from NY for the week. Last night I took some pictures and this was the only one I was able to work on b/c of the slow computer issue. I think she looks really pretty:

Sea World 1-19-09

Went to Sea World on the 19th. It was a beautiful day. Izzy enjoyed it like she normally does.

Have not done any other loyouts for scrapbooking this year except for the one I posted a few weeks ago. I did just book a trip to a town about 45 minutes outside Atlanta to goto a scrapbooking retreat for the weekend in March. I plan to do lots of LO's there. I went to one back in November and did like 25 layouts but my goal is to do even more. I have TONS of recent pictures plus I still have a few from her first year to do in order to finish that up.

I have been doing some swaps lately - here are some of the stuff I have done for those:

Izzy Painting and Baking

She loves to paint. I like these picture b/c she looks like a little kid when she is wearing her diaper. She can look so grown up when she is dressed in clothes. These are from last weekend. We had a busy weekend so far so I'll update pictures from Sea World and the Zoo throughout the week.

And these are also from last week. Izzy wanted to bake a cake for Daddy. She is wearing an adorable apron that Julia (scrapbooking friend) made from here. Julia has an etsy site where you can see some of the other stuff she sells (www.thelittlestshop.etsy.com)

Its SO much easy actually taking picture of a non moving object :). Here are a few that I have so far. I have tons more to sort thru but wanted to share these b/c it will be a few days till I have time to work on them. (chelsea - you can save these but don't try to print them b/c they wont turn out).

Pillowcase Dress Izzy and I made (and some pictures)

Yes, Izzy helped me sew this dress. She sat on my lap and helped me pull the needles out and cut the strings. Unfortunately she wouldn't wear the dress for me to get some photos of her but I am going to try to have her wear it tomorrow to Leu Gardens.

And here are two photos from today at the park (Aunt Tina got her the adorable sweater and hat - there is a matching scarf and hat but it was like 70 degrees so even these were overkill):

So, I am not doing such a good job keeping this updated. Guess that is something I will have to work on. I haven't been doing too much lately. We (Izzy, myself, Monica, Scott, Elizabeth, My Mom and My Dad) did all goto Busch Gardens on Saturday. Izzy and I were going to stay at Jodie's that night but Izzy was very tired when we got there (so also very tired) so we spend about an hour or so hanging out with her before heading home. On Saturday, Izzy and I had a picnic at the park up the street. I brought my camera and took some pictures.

As for my "crafting". I did one layout so far this year and worked on a few items for some swaps (in case you are wondering, thats when you make a set amount of each item and then swap them with everyone else who made stuff so you get more back). Today I sewed some curtains together for Vickey's apartment. Is till have to sew some fringe onto a valance and a pillowcase for Chelsea's room. Maybe tonight??

Here is the one scrapbooking layout I have done this year. I did it for a one hour layout contest.

And last for right now is a really cool thing created by Micah at VIP Signatures. I love it.

Christmas Morning :)

Aunt Monica, Uncle Scott, Elizabeth, Chelsea, Aunt Vickey, Mema, and Bepa all stayed the night at our house Christmas Eve. Of course, Izzy was the first one up but we were nice enough to let everyone sleep till 7:30 before we woke them all up. Santa was nice enough to leave everyone's presents at our house so we spend Christmas morning opening up gifts. For breakfast we had 2 different types of quiches and some mimosa's. Yummy.

Christmas Eve was spent at Mema Jo's and Pop Pop's house. Mema Jo recently had back surgery so I cooked us dinner. We had a standing rib roast, shrimp scampi, mashed potatoes and green beans. I had never made a standing rib roast before. I used the recipe in the Publix ad and it turned out perfectly. So good. Afterwards Izzy got to open the gifts from Mema Jo, Pop Pop, and her Aunt Tina, Nicole, and Carey. She got so spoiled by all of them.

I decided to start blogging so I could be cool. No really, I did it because its such an easy way to keep everyone update on whats going on. Since my two favorite hobbies right not are photography and scrapbooking, this will be a great way to share both of those. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with this but I am not a writer so if nothing else, at least I can update with pictures :)
